Moderator DonnyFL Fatboy Specifications: Weight, Thread, and European Availability

The DonnyFL Fatboy 2.0 measures 4.25 inches (110mm) in length with a 2-inch (50.5mm) diameter . Weight sits at just 6.7 oz (191g), so it stays lightweight despite its girth . DonnyFL redesigned the rear cap for easier gripping and installation . A 6.25-inch extender is available separately to increase internal volume for additional sound suppression . Key Features: Interchangeable Air Strippers and Expandable Design

The defining feature of the Fatboy 2.0 is its calibre-swappable design. DonnyFL includes three interchangeable air strippers, so you can change calibres without purchasing multiple moderators . Moreover, the optional 3-inch extender captures more air and reduces muzzle blast further . DonnyFL makes the extension tube from 6061 T6 aluminium with a matching black anodised finish . A DonnyFL Fatboy 2.0 Muzzle Brake is also available, screwing onto the front to disperse turbulent air and improve accuracy . Consequently, the Fatboy adapts to your needs, whether you prioritise compactness or maximum sound suppression.

Known DonnyFL Fatboy Problems Owners Report

Owners report several consistent issues worth knowing. The Fatboy 2.0 without the extender produces a loud, sharp bark, and many owners consider the extender essential for effective suppression . Moreover, some owners report the extender reduces sound but not proportionally to its added weight and bulk . The Muzzle Brake accessory receives mixed feedback, with some describing it as a “cosmetic gimmick” while others report improved accuracy . Some shooters find DonnyFL moderators generally less effective than alternatives like the Sumo or Tanto . The visual white lines inside the front cap are normal anodising marks, not defects . Therefore, owner feedback suggests budgeting for the extender if quiet operation is your priority.

Accuracy, Pellet Choice, and Range Performance

The DonnyFL Fatboy does not directly affect accuracy through pellet choice, as it is a muzzle accessory. However, a properly fitted moderator can improve consistency by reducing recoil and muzzle movement . The interchangeable air strippers allow turbulent air to diffuse without interfering with the projectile, which can improve precision . The Fatboy works well with all standard diabolo pellets and heavier slugs. Accuracy remains unaffected when the moderator is properly aligned and tightened. Consequently, no special pellet selection is required. Owners report the Fatboy pairs well with FX Impact and other high-power PCP rifles, delivering substantial report reduction .
