Known Barrel Kit Epic Airguns Two Problems Owners Report

Owners report several considerations worth knowing. The most common issue involves magazine indexing, with one forum member noting the pellet probe length leaves little bore-side support, allowing magazines to index prematurely . Moreover, valve leaks have occurred on high-mileage Epic Two rifles, with one owner reporting air escaping through the barrel after several thousand shots . O-ring wear on the valve assembly appears to be a consumable maintenance item . Some owners note the 550mm barrel offers a middle ground, but the 700mm version delivers higher energy potential for long-range work . Therefore, owner feedback suggests inspecting the pellet probe and stocking valve O-rings as part of routine maintenance.

Accuracy, Ammunition Choice, and Range Performance

Ammunition choice significantly impacts the CZUB 550mm barrel’s accuracy. Owners report excellent results with both pellets and slugs, with one shooter describing their CZ barrel as handling both well across distances . Moreover, Hard Air Magazine testing of the Epic Two platform with CZUB barrels produced excellent accuracy with H&N Baracuda Match pellets, achieving the best results in their test . The 550mm length balances portability with velocity, delivering up to 115 Joules in .25 calibre according to manufacturer specifications . Consequently, test multiple pellet weights and slug designs to find what your individual barrel prefers. The kit excels at medium-range hunting and target shooting where calibre flexibility matters most.
