Benjamin Airbow M600: The PCP-Powered Arrow Launcher That Redefines Bowhunting

The Benjamin Airbow M600 is a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) airbow that launches full-length arrows using compressed air, and it represents a genuinely new category in hunting tools . If you have searched for a Benjamin Airbow M600 review, this platform delivers up to 600 FPS with 300 ft-lbs of kinetic energy across three consistent shots . Consequently, it suits hunters across Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and other EU countries where airbows are permitted for hunting or target use. Moreover, the bullpup configuration keeps overall length to just 33.5 inches, making it highly manoeuvrable in tree stands and blinds . Because it cocks AFTER the arrow slides onto the rest, it offers a safer operating sequence than conventional crossbows . Therefore, whether you are checking the Benjamin Airbow M600 price or comparing it against the Benjamin Airbow 450, this platform deserves serious consideration for hunters seeking an alternative to firearms and crossbows.

Benjamin Airbow M600 Specifications: Velocity, Power, and European Availability

The M600 operates on 3600 PSI of compressed air and delivers three consistent shots at up to 600 FPS . Muzzle energy reaches approximately 300 ft-lbs, placing it firmly in the big game hunting category . Weight sits at 7.1 lbs (3.22 kg) for the airbow alone, though shipping weight is listed at 11.01 lbs . Overall length measures 33.375 inches in bullpup configuration . The rifle includes a canted Picatinny base with 20 MOA of additional adjustment, and a CenterPoint 6x40mm scope with adjustable objective for parallax settings from 5 yards out . Therefore, shooters in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia should verify local regulations carefully, as airbow legality varies significantly across EU member states.

Free-Floating Barrel and Front-Pulling Arrow Design

The defining feature of the M600 is its patent-pending front-pulling design. Unlike a crossbow that pushes arrows from the rear, the M600 pulls arrows from the front, eliminating the “archer’s paradox” that causes shaft flex and inaccuracy . Moreover, the free-floating barrel with stabilizing system ensures razor-sharp shot placement every time . The ambidextrous top cocking bolt makes operation easy in tight quarters, and the airbow can be de-cocked without firing . Consequently, you can safely carry the M600 in the field without wasting an arrow. The included quiver holds three M-Series arrows with nano-ceramic Victory ICE coating for increased speed and easier retrieval.

Known Benjamin Airbow M600 Problems Owners Report

Owners report several significant considerations worth knowing. The M600 is extremely powerful, and crossbow-grade targets will not stop arrows at close range, with one owner reporting “I ruined 2 arrows” trying to sight in . Moreover, the airbow is loud, with one reviewer noting “the airbow is a bit loud” and users should not expect whisper-quiet operation . The M600 is only compatible with Airbow M-Series arrows, limiting ammunition options . The proprietary CenterPoint scope works well, but some hunters prefer aftermarket optics . Therefore, owner feedback suggests budgeting for extra arrows and confirming target suitability before purchase.

Accuracy, Arrow Choice, and Range Performance

Arrow choice is fixed for the M600, as it works only with M-Series arrows. Owners report excellent accuracy, with one reviewer achieving 2-inch groups at 50 yards and preferring to shoot “one arrow at a time” to avoid damaging arrows on impact . Moreover, the front-pulling design eliminates shaft flex, delivering significantly greater accuracy than rear-pushed arrows . One forum member noted the M600 “will always be way more accurate per design over a rear pushed arrow” . Consequently, test your sight-in at close range with a suitable target to preserve arrows. The M600 excels at deer and hog hunting within 75 yards, with one reviewer confirming “you can get some very accurate shooting done” using a rest .

FINAL VERDICT

The Benjamin Airbow M600 represents a revolutionary option for hunters wanting an alternative to firearms and crossbows. It offers 600 FPS performance, 300 ft-lbs of energy, and a safe front-pulling arrow design in a compact bullpup package . However, extreme power that destroys standard targets, loud operation, and strict arrow compatibility mean it suits prepared hunters who understand its requirements. Purchase from a reputable European retailer with warranty support and knowledge of local regulations. Consider adding extra M-Series arrows and a high-quality crossbow-grade target to preserve your arrows during sight-in. Therefore, verify your country’s regulations carefully before ordering, as airbow legality varies significantly across EU member states including Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Shop at Airgun Armoury.
