Benjamin Marauder Premium Combo Specifications: Calibre, Power, and European Availability

The Marauder Premium Combo comes in .177, .22, and .25 calibres. The .177 version delivers velocities up to 1100 FPS (335 m/s), while the .22 reaches 1000 FPS (305 m/s) and the .25 reaches 900 FPS (274 m/s) . Muzzle energy sits at approximately 21 FPE in .22 and 50 FPE in .25 . Overall length measures 42.8 inches (1087mm) and weight sits at 7.3 lbs (3.31 kg) for the synthetic version . The 215cc air reservoir fills to a maximum of 3000 PSI (207 bar) and delivers approximately 32 shots per fill in .177 and .22 . Magazine capacity is 10 rounds in .177 and .22, and 8 rounds in .25 . The shrouded, choked barrel provides integrated sound suppression, and the 11mm dovetail rail accepts standard optics. Therefore, shooters in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia should verify local energy limits before ordering.

Bolt Action and Synthetic Stock Design

The Marauder’s defining feature is its bolt action with reversible handle. This design allows both right- and left-handed shooters to operate the rifle comfortably . Moreover, the synthetic stock includes a vertically adjustable comb cheek-piece for a customised fit, and it weighs almost a full pound less than the wood-stocked version . The two-stage adjustable match trigger breaks cleanly with minimal creep . The 10-round auto-indexing magazine allows rapid follow-up shots . The raised aluminium breech makes loading the circular magazine easier . Consequently, the rifle delivers a refined shooting experience that rivals far more expensive European air rifles. The included CenterPoint 4-16×40 AO scope provides adequate magnification for hunting and target work, and the adjustable objective lens takes out parallax issues.

Known Benjamin Marauder Problems Owners Report

Owners report several consistent issues worth knowing. Air leaks appear frequently, with one owner reporting their rifle lost 200-300 PSI overnight from the fill nipple threads . Moreover, one owner received a rifle that leaked all air the next morning and required a return . The synthetic stock flexes in the forearm when supporting the rifle with a bipod, though owners note the wood stock would be more rigid but heavier . The rifle is heavy at 7.3 lbs before optics, with one owner noting “it feels like the barrel is made of 20 pounds of steel” when shooting offhand . The CenterPoint scope in the combo receives mixed feedback, with one owner reporting the scope caps were changing settings when screwed on . Therefore, owner feedback suggests inspecting the fill system and testing the scope upon receipt.

Accuracy, Pellet Choice, and Range Performance

Pellet choice significantly impacts the Marauder’s accuracy. Owners report excellent results with JSB Match Exact Jumbo Heavy pellets in .22, achieving 1.5-inch groups at 35 yards right out of the box . Moreover, one owner reported four pellets through the same hole at 25 yards . The choked and shrouded barrel delivers superior accuracy when paired with the right ammunition . One owner reported their Marauder is “a tack driver at 50 yards using 15.89 JSP pellets” . Consequently, test multiple pellet types to find what your individual barrel prefers. The Marauder maintains consistent velocities throughout the fill, though the standard version has a typical bell curve. Owners report that waiting 300 rounds before tuning helps the rifle settle in.

FINAL VERDICT

The Benjamin Marauder Premium Combo, Synthetic represents exceptional value in an American-made PCP package. It offers a synthetic stock, included scope and sling, and integrated sound suppression . However, leak issues, stock flex, and weight concerns mean it suits shooters willing to inspect and potentially upgrade rather than expecting turnkey perfection. Purchase from a reputable European retailer with warranty support and knowledge of local regulations. Consider adding extra magazines, as owners report wanting more than the single included magazine. A pellet sampler pack helps you find the best ammunition for your rifle. Therefore, verify your country’s energy limits before ordering, as regulations vary across EU member states including Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Shop at Airgun Armoury.
